Somatic Therapy for Adults in Wisconsin
"You've done the over thinking. Now it's time to reconnect with what your mind and body have been trying to tell you."
Are you a highly self aware, analytical adult who understands your patterns intellectually but you still feel stuck?

Have you said things such as:
-
I know this goes back to my childhood but I don't know how to process it.
-
I've been in therapy before and I can explain why I do this but nothing changes.
-
I overthink and overanalyze everything
-
I feel disconnected from myself.
-
I understand my trauma but still feel stuck.
Somatic Therapy might be a good fit for you!
What is Somatic Therapy?
How I integrate EMDR and IFS!
Your experiences don't just live in your thoughts. They can also be stored in your body.
If you've ever experienced racing thoughts, tightness in your chest, a pit in your stomach, chronic tension, emotional numbness, or a feeling that your body is constantly on alert, you're not imagining it.
Somatic therapy helps you understand the connection between your nervous system, emotions, past experiences, and physical sensations. Rather than focusing only on talking through problems, we'll also pay attention to the messages your body is sending.
Many clients come to therapy already knowing why they struggle.
My approach combines somatic therapy, EMDR, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients explore the connection between thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, and past experiences.
Together, we'll slow down, notice what's happening in your body, identify the protective patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and create space for healing.
What a session actually looks like:
A session might include:
-
Tracking physical sensations
-
Identifying nervous system responses
-
Exploring emotional patterns
-
Recognizing protective parts
-
Practicing grounding skills
-
Processing difficult experiences with EMDR
-
Learning to respond to your body with curiosity rather than judgment
